We have always been smart loyalists since the first time we drove a smart fortwo in 2005. We have owned three (two diesel 450 coupes and one 451 cabriolet). Our company now owns two smart EDs. We park them end-to-end in a single car garage. We love the engineering and style, so getting excited about smart e-bikes was easy.
We decided to add smart e-bikes to our fleet after reading about them, seeing reviews, watching videos and doing some research on smart’s manufacturing process and partners, Grace and BionX.
We recommend having a charger installed right at home if you can. We have a Sun Country charger on the outside of the garage. It's registered on the Sun Country website and also on PlugShare. Drivers in the area who need a charge for a bit more range can find us and give us a call to stop by. We've met some interesting people this way and charged a few different cars including this Tesla. It gives us an opportunity to see how other owners adapt to the EV lifestyle and check out other cars close up.
In a split second, thinking the car was not going to stop, I grabbed the brake. Unfortunately for me and my bike, I grabbed the front brake (left side). The brake locked, the bike flipped, and I hit the pavement at about 20 Km/H with the bike on top of me.
